Ramatoulie B. Gaye is the Founder and CEO of Bridging Gaps Advisory (BGA), a consultancy and business advisory firm committed to empowering women executives and women-owned businesses. With over 15 years of experience spanning both the private and public sectors, she is a recognized expert in women’s empowerment, strategy development, leadership training, marketing plan creation, and women development initiatives. Ramatoulie has a proven track record of championing women’s empowerment through innovative projects and impactful collaborations.

Education & Certifications

Ramatoulie holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from London Metropolitan University and has undergone extensive training in entrepreneurship, leadership, business coaching, project management, digital marketing, and gender analytics, among other fields.

Board Membership & Advocacy

  • Board Member of the Gambia Women Chamber of Commerce (GWCC).
  • Member of the Women’s Business Advocacy Group supported by UNDP and ITC
  • Former Chairperson of the Board at SBEC International School in The Gambia.

Key Projects and Initiatives

Consultancies: Ramatoulie has partnered with various organizations to execute assignments focused on gender development in The Gambia. She has served as a National Consultant for international development organizations, including:

  • The International Labour Organization (ILO) as a WE Check Facilitator.
  • The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on the 50 Million African Women Speak Project (50MAWSP).
  • The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on the Gender Seal for the Private Sector.
  • The International Trade Center (ITC) on SheTrades Outlook, a policy tool designed to enable women’s participation in international trade. Additionally, she has facilitated the strategic plan development of several organizations.

Women Leadership Development: Ramatoulie has spearheaded numerous initiatives to inspire and support women in leadership, including:

  • Leading Women “The Gambia”: An annual publication (2017-2019) showcasing the stories of accomplished Gambian women to inspire others.
  • Women’s Leadership Forum: An annual event that convenes women from diverse sectors to network, share knowledge, and foster inspiration. Notable attendees have included The First Lady of The Gambia, dignitaries, and industry leaders.

Capacity Building: Ramatoulie has designed and facilitated training programs aimed at enhancing leadership and entrepreneurial skills. Key initiatives include:

  • Annual Women’s Leadership training for senior leaders in the private and public sectors.
  • Training programs for clients and young entrepreneurs, in collaboration with organizations such as the International Trade Centre through the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP), which include mentoring young women entrepreneurs and connecting them with experienced professionals for guidance.
